He was a politician of kingdom Shila, one of the ancient Korean kingdoms. After collecting information from various sources about how the world started at first and how the ancient Korean history was made, he published Korean Genesis. There are very limited records left about him but he was killed in Japan when he tried to save the prince of Shila kingdom there. The story says that his wife became a stone statue on a beach rock while waiting for him who already died.
